What is TechLift?
TechLift connects experienced tech workers, especially those displaced by layoffs, with businesses that need fractional, contract, or full-time technical talent. We score profiles based on real signal (GitHub activity, prior employers, peer reviews) and surface matches that fit both sides.
How much does it cost?
Tech workers always pay zero. Businesses get the first project posting for free, then choose a plan based on the volume of matches and projects they need. Plans and pricing are listed on Find Talent.
How do I sign in?
TechLift is passwordless. You enter your email and we send a one-time sign-in link. After you sign in for the first time you can add a passkey (Touch ID, Face ID, or Windows Hello) so subsequent sign-ins are one tap.
What's a passkey?
A passkey is a credential stored on your device (phone, laptop, or hardware security key) that proves it's you without a password. It's protected by your device's biometric and cannot be phished or reused on another site. We never see or store your fingerprint or face data.
How do you score talent?
Each worker profile gets a composite score driven by four inputs: technical depth (skills and project history), experience (years and seniority), peer reviews (verified ratings from past clients and teammates), and responsiveness (how quickly you respond to interest). The breakdown is visible on every public profile so businesses know what they're looking at.
Are you hiring directly?
No. TechLift is a marketplace, not an employer. Businesses hire workers directly. We don't take a percentage of any contract or place workers on payroll.
How do I delete my account?
Sign in, open your dashboard, and use the Delete account option in settings. We anonymize your profile within 30 days and fully delete it within 90 days, except for transaction records we are legally required to retain (typically 7 years for tax purposes).
